Due to their aura and prestige, the Lakers often represent a prime destination for players. Indeed, the bookmakers believe that a young star in the making could potentially move there this summer… but the fans don’t want him to.

Unsurprisingly, Luka Doncic and LeBron James weren’t enough. With the Lakers having been completely overhauled along the season and having a rookie coach in JJ Redick, the loss to the Timberwolves in the first round of the playoffs seems pretty logical. The squad is not yet built around the former Mavericks’ franchise player, but that should change this summer.

As we all know, the Pourpres et Ors are neither lacking in ambition nor audacity when it comes to recruiting high-caliber players. As a result, almost all the stars have been announced to join them at one time or another. Brook Lopez, for example, has been relaunched as a means of bolstering their flimsy frontcourt. On the wings, Rockets’ Jalen Green could be considered after having just been eliminated by the Warriors.

Jalen Green on the move in Houston?

As a reminder, Green would not be a free agent as he is still under contract for three years and just over $105 million, the final season being a player option. A trade would have to be set up by the two franchises, which would surely involve Austin Reaves… and Californian fans don’t seem convinced, to say the least.

@jordanumbers : HELL FUCKING NO TELL THIS BUM TO STAY IN HOUSTON

In any case, the arrival of Green or any other star is not yet a priority in Los Angeles. Luka Doncic is likely to stay, as he feels fully committed to the franchise’s project, but until he has officially signed his contract extension, nothing is certain. Once the Slovenian’s case has been settled, it will be time for the front office to look for the right players to surround him in the future.
