The Warriors may have won Game 1 against the Wolves, but there’s a lot of concern about Stephen Curry’s health. For his part, Shaquille O’Neal doesn’t seem to be his usual optimistic self.

With a clear dominance in the first half, the Warriors quickly extended their lead against the Wolves in Game 1. And despite a scare in the final quarter, Steve Kerr’s men got the job done, winning the first game of this series in Minnesota. And yet, the fans are very worried about the rest of the playoffs.

Before half-time, Curry had to leave the floor with an adductor injury. When you consider that he’s already having problems with his thumb, you’d be worried about the Chief’s health. The medical staff even mentioned a strain in Curry’s case, meaning that his absence could be counted in weeks in the worst-case scenario.

But to find out more, we’ll have to wait for news this Wednesday about the point guard. It’s also possible that the injury is mild and Curry could return in a few days, but that would potentially be taking a risk. Golden State may have to prepare for the idea of playing without their best player for a while.

Nevertheless, the Dubs still have a chance in this second round of the playoffs. After all, they won that Game 1 and Jimmy Buter is still there, as is Buddy Hield when he catches fire. But that’s pretty worrying according to Shaquille O’Neal, who isn’t known for being the most optimistic person in the world. And we can confirm that today.

In response to the injury, the Big Cactus was quick to comment on Steph’s future:

Shaquille O’Neal on Stephen Curry: “Maybe Steph Curry is starting to let go. He’s moving around a lot for a 37-year-old guy.”

The beginning of the end for Curry? At least, that’s what Shaq thinks, worried about the point guard’s health. An adductor injury is a common occurrence for athletes, especially at this level of competition. However, knowing Steph’s activity on the floor, we already know that the Warriors won’t be able to take any risks with him.

We’ll wait for news this Wednesday about his possible unavailability. But the fact that he was unable to finish Game 1 is bound to be a cause for concern for the next few games.
