With another crack against the Wolves, Draymond Green has made a lot of enemies, including Warriors fans. One insider was keen to add another layer on the inside’s behavior.

Beaten by the Wolves, the Warriors will have to react in Game 3 to avoid finding themselves in an uncomfortable situation. But it won’t be easy to raise their game without the presence of Stephen Curry, who will be out for another week or so according to Shams Charania. So Jimmy Butler will have to raise his game, as will Draymond Green, pinned in Game 2.

The inside man was the talk of the game, but again for all the wrong reasons. He punched Naz Reid in the face, resulting in a technical foul, before going on to verbally attack the referees for what he felt was an unfair decision. Any other player would have been ejected immediately, but not the Warrior.

Draymond Green favored by referees

Because contrary to what the player says, and for some unknown reason, you can probably argue about the preferential treatment he gets. Giving him a technique or a flagrant is possible, but ejecting him? That’s something many people don’t want to do. And one insider thinks so too.

That’s the case with Nick Wright, who went back over how Green has been treated for years. He’s protected by the referees, and that’s been going on for some time. So for Wright, it’s important to point this out, knowing that his statement quickly made the buzz. Looks like he’s not the only one who thinks this way.

Nick Wright : “There is no player in NBA history who is given more leeway than Draymond Green after getting 1 technical. … Draymond is his most devastating defensively when he has 5 fouls because if Draymond gets to 5 fouls, he does not foul at 6, he fouls out at 9.”

Wright points out something very interesting here, as if referees didn’t want to be responsible for a possible turning point in a match. Why not? It’s hard to know, but the fact is that any other player wouldn’t have ended the game against Minnesota in Game 2. Proof that refereeing needs an overhaul.
