Injured for about a week at the very least, it’s not clear when Stephen Curry will be able to return to the game. Shams Charania has provided some new information, and let’s just say it’s rather worrying.

Outplayed by the Timberwolves without the presence of Stephen Curry, the Warriors will have to show a better face for Game 3. The franchise is undoubtedly capable of much better with Jimmy Butler and Buddy Hield, but Steve Kerr’s men will have their work cut out for them if they are to pick up at least one win in Minnesota in this context.

Because without Curry, things get a lot more complicated. We know the talent of the greatest shooter in history, and like his Game 1, before the injury, he’s quickly capable of putting defenses to shame. Without him, another series begins and the Dubs are preparing to operate without him. Potentially for the rest of the second round.

Can Stephen Curry make it back to the playoffs?

Because yes, we’ll have to be patient on this one. Don’t count on the Dubs rushing Curry’s return, as he’s the victim of a hamstring problem, an injury that could easily lead to a relapse in the future. So if Steph has to miss another full week, the medical staff will make the right decision.

It also means Curry won’t be back for a while, jeopardizing the Warriors’ chances in these playoffs. Shams Charania was just with Pat McAfee this Friday to give some news, and let’s just say it’s not glorious. He should miss a good week and not return before the end of the series in the best-case scenario… and if Minnesota doesn’t win before then.

@esidery : “The earliest Stephen Curry could potentially return for the Warriors against the Timberwolves is Game 6 per Shams Charania. Curry’s hamstring injury will sideline him at least another week-plus.”

In other words, Curry is still a long way from being able to return to the game, which means the Dubs will have to learn to manage without him. Kerr will have to find a new rotation for the duration and hope that it can match the Wolves’ current confidence. As for the Chief, he wants to return quickly, but it’s clear that his injury is a major problem.
