The two best players of the regular season don’t want to let go. This fantastic series between the Nuggets and the Thunder will come down to a Game 7 this Sunday, with the MVP title still up for grabs. Observers are therefore full of ideas.
All season long, the NBA microcosm has been animated by a burning question: who deserves the MVP title, Nikola Jokic or Shai Gilgeous-Alexander? The former, already a three-time winner, produced the best statistics of his career, while admitting that he had never felt so strong on the court. The latter, in addition to being the year’s top scorer, has taken his team to the top of the Western Conference.
Because the basketball gods are as passionate as the fans about this budding rivalry, they decided to offer us an epic second round between the Thunder and the Nuggets, an opportunity for the two behemoths to claim the title of No.1 in the current hierarchy. The level of play is exceptional, and this Sunday’s Game 7 promises to be historic.
MVP announced before Sunday’s Game 7?
It’s no secret that the MVP award has yet to be handed out, although it’s usually given in the first round or at the start of the second. Nick Wright, star consultant for FS1, had a brilliant idea following the Nuggets’ victory on Thursday. He hopes that the NBA will communicate before the decisive match.
The NBA should 100% announce the MVP Sunday morning & give it to SGA on the court before the game just to see if we get the Jokic version of the Hakeem-Admiral game or if SGA can hold him off.

Peak theater.
In 1995, just a few days before a conference final against the Rockets, David Robinson was voted league MVP. A frustrating decision for Hakeem Olajuwon, who avenged himself on the floor with 35 points, 12 rebounds, 5 assists and 4 blocks on average over the series. Nick Wright would like to see a similar scenario this Sunday, with APG hosting a Joker up for a place in the conference finals. Internet users are excited by the idea.
@EricTrillman_ : Hang the MVP trophy over halfcourt for Game 7
@WorldWideWob : Ask Jokic and SGA if they’re cool with the winner of Game 7 getting MVP.
@nba_paint : MVP race game 7 we really feasting this playoffs.
