Having returned to Europe last summer, Frank Ntilikina continues to make waves in the United States, where he spent seven years on the NBA. His name, for example, has found itself at the heart of viral mockery in recent hours.

Although not as high-profile as Théo Maledon or Evan Fournier, he can nonetheless be satisfied with the decision he made last summer. Like his two compatriots, Frank Ntilikina chose to return to Europe to play after several hard seasons in the NBA. He has thus established himself in the Partizan Belgrade rotation… while continuing to indirectly fuel certain discussions on the other side of the Atlantic.

A disastrous take on Frank Ntilikina revived in the US

While the playoffs are in full swing, both in the Adriatic League and in the NBA, the Draft also attracts the attention of basketball fans. Everyone is trying to determine which of the various registered prospects will have a successful career. In fact, this was the exercise undertaken by @BarbaricMango in 2017 on X, formerly Twitter… with little success:

The day after the ceremony, this Internet user made some predictions about the eight highest-ranked picks in this year’s draft. In particular, he saw Markelle Fultz, Lonzo Ball, Josh Jackson, Jonathan Isaac… and Ntilikina becoming stars. Conversely, he didn’t see a bright future for Jayson Tatum, De’Aaron Fox and Lauri Markkanen. So many opinions gone awry that amused the web on Thursday:

@mattybucketsss : Dude was literally wrong about every player 😂😂😂😂

@EvilEmpire25 : I’ve never seen anyone go 0/8 so quickly

@malaj1031 : Michael Jordan level scouting

@Mellove_302 : This might be the worst string of takes I’ve ever seen.

It has to be said that this fan clearly had a nose for trouble on this one. Including with regard to our French Prince, whose career in the US has not turned out to be as radiant as predicted. Some Americans have even dwelt on his case in order to highlight this budding analyst’s lack of foresight:

@ThunderBuddyQ6 : Tf did he see in Frank? 💀
