NBA – After 3 months away from the court, Victor Wembanyama’s physique is the subject of debate!

Although he’s been sidelined for some time due to health concerns, Victor Wembanyama hasn’t been just sitting idly. The San Antonio center has been focusing on strength training, and that’s causing some controversy.

When you win 12 more games than last season, it’s a sign that you’re heading in the right direction. The Spurs therefore have reason to be confident in their project, having struggled in the second half of the 2024-25 campaign due to injuries. Victor Wembanyama and De’Aaron Fox, in particular, missed several weeks; it’s difficult to win in such conditions.

In the Frenchman’s case, it’s still unclear how his return will unfold, given that he suffered a deep vein thrombosis. This is a condition that can be fatal if not treated properly, and the San Antonio franchise player is being closely monitored by his medical staff and management. That being said, it seems likely he’ll be back by the start of the 2025-26 season.

In the meantime, the Alien has already resumed training, albeit lightly so as not to overexert himself. He’s also taken the opportunity to put on some muscle, judging by recent photos posted on social media. Known for being very frail for a player in his position, Wemby has clearly gained some muscle:

Comparisons with the two-time MVP aren’t unheard of, as Giannis arrived in the NBA with a similar physique, albeit a few inches shorter. It was during the summers that he seriously gained muscle mass, and while Wembanyama isn’t expected to go as far as him, the evolution is notable. However, it’s evident that this transformation has not been unanimously approved by fans:
