Expected to be back in action with Slovenia in the last few months, Luka Doncic has already begun the behind-the-scenes work needed to return to top form. After making a public appearance on Sunday, rumors are starting to circulate about his weight.
With the Lakers aiming to win the title as early as next season, the franchise will be betting heavily on Luka Doncic to achieve its goal. He is now the Angelinos’ new priority, to the point where the front office is certainly ready to recruit players according to the Slovenian’s desires. This speaks volumes about his importance in the City of Angels.
But if the player wants a real chance of winning his first championship, he knows he’ll have to make efforts in the future. This applies to his defense, often criticized in the last playoffs, and also to his fitness. For years now, Doncic has regularly been the subject of debate concerning his weight and possible excess kilos.

The Mavericks have made it clear that this has been a problem for years, but perhaps Luka is finally keen to change behind the scenes. He appeared in public this Sunday for a Real Madrid game and he definitely doesn’t look overweight. Encouraging for Lakers fans?

With Doncic, it’s always hard to say. We also know that the debate comes up almost every summer with Luka, and that’s still the case today.
