Aware of his importance, the Bucks are prepared to do anything to try and keep Giannis Antetokounmpo in Wisconsin. The franchise even believes it can make a difference with its coach, which is sure to amuse the web.
We’ll probably find out very soon whether Giannis Antetokounmpo has decided to leave the Bucks to join a new organization. Probably before the draft, since this event could change completely depending on the star’s decision. But in Milwaukee, we want to keep believing that the Greek Freak will continue his adventure.
Despite problems in the roster and Damian Lillard’s long-term injury, the Bucks also know that Giannis is very important to this organization on and off the floor. So retaining him is a no-brainer for everyone. As an added bonus, Antetokounmpo cannot choose his future destination, as he is still under contract.
Bucks confident about Giannis Antetokounmpo?
For what it’s worth, a few insiders explain that the Bucks are confident in this matter for the time being. They believe they have the necessary arguments to convince their star to continue in Milwaukee for a shot at the title. But what exactly are we talking about? Well, according to Marc Stein, possibly the coach.
According to information shared by the insider in an article this Monday, the Bucks believe that the mere presence of Doc Rivers is an asset in this matter. The two men are said to have a good relationship, and the franchise believes this will make the difference at the finish line. Among observers, however, the former Clippers coach is far from convincing.
Marc Stein : “The Bucks are also hoping that the presence of Doc Rivers as coach can provide some sort of boost. Antetokounmpo and Rivers are believed to have a strong working relationship…”
There’s no denying that. This duo seems to get along well on the Bucks’ side, but from there to say that Rivers will allow Giannis to stay with the Bucks? We doubt it. The Bucks have made it clear that their priority is to win another championship in the future, and given Rivers’ CV over the last few years, it’s doubtful that he’s the right man for the job. Needless to say, the web thought it was a joke at first.
