An NBA finalist in only his second season in the league, Chet Holmgren can be proud of his achievement. And even prouder of the fact that he was able to do so by disposing of Anthony Edwards, with whom he settled accounts afterwards on the networks.
His team’s qualification for the NBA Finals was already a cause for celebration. Chet Holmgren, who has played a significant role since the start of the playoffs and in the Thunder’s recent series win over the Timberwolves, could indeed boast. It also gave him the chance to take revenge on Anthony Edwards, who had hit him with a violent poster dunk during a confrontation last February:

Chet Holmgren’s viral response to Anthony Edwards
A victim of this resounding highlight during the regular season, Holmgren lost that evening to Minnesota (101-116). Edwards, for his part, was a little shaky in that game (5/18 shooting), but didn’t shy away from trolling his opponent afterwards. Back in the locker room, he made the following comments, which quickly went viral:
Anthony Edwards: When he got in front of me to block me, he looked a bit scared for real. It didn’t look like he was looking for the block, just that he wanted to be on the (highlight) reel. So shout out to Chet! Welcome home, baby.
Incisive remarks that the young OKC inside player has apparently not forgotten since… since he brought them up again in recent hours via his Instagram story:

Teasingly, Chet also captioned his latest post on the platform “Welcome home Chet ⚡️🕺🏻”. So, once again, the sprinkler has been sprinkled in this story.
