Speaking on the LeBron James podcast, Luka Doncic talked about his life in Los Angeles. And while he’s happy most of the time, he admits to having a little problem since his arrival in February. And it’s probably the same for everyone.
A new Lakers player for a few months now, Luka Doncic has settled in well to his new team and his new city. Moving from Dallas to Los Angeles is no mean feat, but the Slovenian has enjoyed himself immensely since arriving in the City of Angels. And we’re even expecting him to be back in better shape for September, after EuroBasket.
While a new contract will have to be signed to confirm this, Doncic has made it clear that he is ready to spend the rest of his career in Los Angeles, his loyalty now being to the Angelinos. Good news for the organization, even if fans are waiting for a signature before getting carried away.
Luka Doncic honest about the city of Los Angeles
After all, anything can happen very quickly in the NBA, as we saw with the Doncic trade. Nevertheless, the player is very happy in his new city and wants to look to the long term, as he confirmed to LeBron James. He was a guest on his famous Mind The Game podcast on Sunday, and discussed a number of topics.
And inevitably, Doncic was asked about this big change in his personal life and his move to Los Angeles. It’s a city many people dream of, but once there, it’s sometimes a cold shower. Not for Luka, even if one detail seems to have made him hate the city since his arrival.
Luka Doncic on Los Angeles : “This is the first city I’ve played in that has the ocean and I really like the ocean.. I like it very much. The only thing is the traffic.. Everytime there is famous people sitting courtside, that’s amazing to see.”
Like New York, and sometimes worse, Los Angeles is a city where getting around can be hellish, sometimes with hours of waiting. Not easy for Luka, especially when things weren’t going to be the same in Dallas. Is it enough to make him leave? Probably not, but we imagine that LeBron James is in complete agreement on the subject.
