There will be trades for the Lakers, and it’s hard to believe that Dalton Knecht won’t be involved in one of them. As free agency opens in a few weeks’ time, one destination for the fullback is the talk of the town.

Largely dominated in these playoffs, the Lakers have some adjustments to make this off-season, like many franchises over the summer. We already know that a pivot will be arriving in the City of Angels in the coming weeks, but we’re still wondering which players will be leaving the roster.

While Gabe Vincent is probably on his way out in the event of a good trade, Dalton Knecht is probably the one who should pack his bags quickly. He was already traded once for Mark Williams before the deal was called off, while JJ Redick used him little afterwards. Some fans have regrets, especially as he was a real steal in the last draft.

Departure confirmed for the Lakers?

Yes, but something probably broke when Knecht was traded for the first time. He tried to refocus on his campaign with the Lakers, but that’s always difficult for a young player and, more importantly, a rookie. So we’re expecting a new, real departure this summer, and it remains to be seen where it will go.

Several franchises will certainly want to recruit such a shooteur, capable of great things, although Knecht still has a lot of progress to make in this league. Is one of these franchises gaining momentum in recent weeks? The Nuggets, who are looking to bolster their squad. Knecht knows the region well.

@SleeperNuggets : “Nothing official but there are rumors floating around that Denver could trade for Lakers forward Dalton Knecht Dalton grew up in Thornton, Colorado and played college basketball at Northern Colorado for 2 years. Should the Nuggets trade for the hometown kid?”

Nothing official yet, but Denver could really use a real shooter, while Knecht needs to relaunch his career away from the Lakers, with whom the link seems to be broken. We don’t know if he’ll end up with the Nuggets, but it’s hard to believe he’ll be wearing the same jersey in a few months’ time.
