Not often in front of the cameras in recent months, Victor Wembanyama continues to heal and prepare for his return to the Spurs in September. In the meantime, the Frenchman has planned a crazy new project.

Still on a mission, Victor Wembanyama continues to train lightly behind the scenes to keep himself in shape. He hopes to get the green light from the doctors to resume normal activity in a few weeks’ time, with the ambition of playing in EuroBasket with Les Bleus. At present, however, this is unlikely.

One imagines that the Spurs want the Frenchman to rest for the next few months in order to be fully ready for September with training camp. Two weeks ago, Shams Charania confirmed that Wemby should be operational by then, and given his verdict in February, this is already an important victory for him and San Antonio.

But in the meantime, Wemby continues to travel a bit and multiply side quests as they say. His latest folly took place in China, where he not only discovered a number of monuments, but also got a new look by having his head completely shaved in a temple. It looks as if the Frenchman is still keen to discover many cultures.

But the story actually goes much further, as Wemby has decided to cut himself off from the world for the next 10 days in a temple. At least, that’s what a journalist’s Twitter account claims.

@SpursReporter : “According to multiple independent sources, “Victor Wembanyama is not only deeply interested in Shaolin culture, he had a master shave his head and is now beginning a 10-day retreat at that temple. His upcoming travel plans have been paused, and his entourage has already left.”
