Like Kevin Durant, Wemby can dribble like a fullback and shoot from behind the arc in crazy positions, displaying a creativity usually reserved for smaller players. What’s more, the Spurs’ No.1 is also different in terms of his personality. It’s out of the question for him to go out, party or enjoy his millions in an ostentatious way. He wants to become a legend and doesn’t let anything interfere with that goal.

Even more recently, he decided to shave his head and live the life of a monk for ten days. A decision that has made Lou Williams, whose daily life was very different during his time in the league, sit up and take notice.

Victor Wembanyama is turning into a real alien. When I see the images of Wemby with the monks, I’m glad that sometimes players bring us a bit of perspective. Life goes far beyond basketball for this young man. I’m glad he knows his priorities, has his beliefs, is cultured. I like to see that. On the other hand, don’t let the hair grow that long if you’re going to cut it all back.

Lou Williams is the player known for having two girlfriends at the same time, the player who left the bubble in 2020 to go to a strip club in Atlanta… He couldn’t be more different from Victor Wembanyama, and yet he loves what the young Frenchman is showing. Wemby’s maturity commands the respect of all his elders. And mind you, he doesn’t just work the mind in China, but also the body.
