While rumors linking Kevin Durant and the Spurs continue to circulate, Jeremy Sochan’s recent appearance in Phoenix has caused quite a stir. So much so that his entourage took it upon themselves to give a little context to this arrival.

While waiting for the exciting Finals between the Pacers and the Thunder to continue, NBA fans don’t have to rack their brains too much to find other things to talk about. The trade market has provided plenty of rumors and news to react to over the past few weeks. The Kevin Durant departure soap opera is one of them, as is his possible transfer to the Spurs.

Jeremy Sochan in Phoenix… no relation to Kevin Durant

In all likelihood, Durant will leave Phoenix before the upcoming draft. San Antonio is one of his preferred landing spots, which has obviously not escaped the attention of the franchise’s fans. Nor did the recent arrival… of Jeremy Sochan in Phoenix, who proudly displayed his new home on his Instagram story. The young Spurs winger also did a double to sow a little more doubt:

Perceived by some as the sign of a deal about to be closed, Sochan’s sudden appearance in Arizona would in fact have nothing to do with KD. At least, that’s what his manager Michal Pacuda assured us, in comments reported by Mateusz Babiarz on X :

Michal Pacuda: It’s true that Jeremy is currently in Phoenix, but it’s linked to a long-planned trip to train there.

Jeremy took a short vacation in May, during which he also trained. Now he’s following a two-workouts-a-day schedule as he prepares intensively for the new NBA season and, of course, the Eurobasket, which kicks off in Katowice at the end of August.

A version confirmed by a video showing the Polish international in the middle of a workout at Arizona State. Move along, there’s nothing to see.
