A quiet yet potentially historic shift has just taken place at PSG. As the Parisian club continues its international expansion, a high-profile new investor has joined the adventure: Kevin Durant. This move — blending sports, business, and global influence — could open a brand-new chapter.

Kevin Durant, the Phoenix Suns star (pending a likely trade), has acquired a stake in Paris Saint-Germain through his company, Boardroom Sports Holdings, in partnership with Arctos Partners. While the exact amount hasn’t been disclosed, multiple sources suggest it’s around a 2% share, representing several million euros in a club valued between $4.3 and $4.6 billion.

Durant’s arrival signals that PSG isn’t merely focused on sporting success — the club is also pursuing a broader global brand strategy, particularly targeting the U.S. market. This move follows a December 2023 partnership with Arctos, which became a 12.5% shareholder as part of the club’s Campus and long-term growth project.

Since then, PSG has reaffirmed its ambition to blur the lines between football and other disciplines — like basketball — with a European and global outlook. Durant visited the Poissy Campus last August, where he met with staff and players from the men’s, women’s, and youth teams. His involvement is more than symbolic: with Boardroom, he plans to develop content, partnerships, and deepen PSG’s foothold in the American market.

Kevin Durant : “It’s an honor to partner with QSI and become an investor in Paris Saint-Germain — a club and city that mean so much to me. The club has big plans, and I’m excited to be part of this next phase of growth and to explore new investment opportunities with QSI.”

Durant’s entry has been warmly welcomed by the Parisian community. Online, fans have praised the addition of an international figure whose values align with the club’s and who can boost PSG’s global visibility. Many see him as an ideal bridge for strengthening PSG’s transatlantic presence.

For now, the project is still in its early stages. But if Durant increases his role within the organization, PSG could become a model for cross-sport convergence: football, basketball, entertainment, media, and global partnerships. A quiet revolution — but one with major implications.
