Well present to face the Wolves this Tuesday night, the Warriors’ series may have just taken a turn for the worse with Stephen Curry’s injury. And it looks a minimum serious for the point guard, who has been unable to return.
Travelling to Minnesota for Game 1 of the second round of the playoffs, the Warriors came out on top with a clear dominance from the second quarter onwards. Draymond Green was invaluable, while Anthony Edwards missed out in style. But it’s only the first game, and anything can happen very quickly in these playoffs.
Stephen Curry is a case in point. He’s already been known to be down with a thumb problem for a few weeks now, although the point guard is making no excuses and is content to play through the pain. The problem is that he re-injured himself on Tuesday evening, this time in his adductor muscle.
Steph Curry out for a while with the Warriors?
Curry began holding his leg on a simple action, before asking to come out. He was never able to get back on the floor, raising fears of a major injury. We’ll have to wait for the details, but it looks very bad for the rest of the series. Will Steve Kerr have to cope without his best player?

Moments later, Shams Charania confirmed that Curry was in no condition to continue playing this game:
Shams Charania : “Warriors’ Stephen Curry has a left hamstring strain and is out for remainder of Game 1 against Minnesota.”
According to one doctor, the length of his absence can vary greatly depending on the severity. The Warriors’ recent release mentions a pulled muscle, which could mean the point guard missing a few days… or a few weeks of competition. In other words, we’ll have to keep a close eye on his return this week. It’s possible that the point guard won’t return from the series.
