Wolves and Warriors meet this week to continue their series, and there are plenty of questions surrounding Stephen Curry. It also means that Steve Kerr will have to make a decision for Jimmy Butler on his side.
Now 1-2 in the second round of the playoffs, the Warriors are in a difficult situation. Stephen Curry is still out with a hamstring injury, and will be reassessed by the medical staff on Wednesday. He won’t be back until later, by which time the risk of a relapse has been ruled out. After all, playoffs are no laughing matter.
And as we all know, relapse is possible with a muscle injury, especially as Curry has never experienced a hamstring problem like this in the past. A first for the point guard, who hopes to return as soon as possible. According to Shams Charania, the Warriors are hoping that the Chief will be ready to play for Game 6, which is some time away.
Jimmy Butler highly sought after by the Warriors?
The Wolves and Warriors will have 4 days off between Game 5 and Game 6, which will be ideal for Curry to recover as much as possible and potentially come back. For Minnesota, the calculation is simple: take two wins in a row and end the series in Game 5 to avoid complications.
So Steve Kerr will have some decisions to make for this upcoming game. Jonathan Kuminga should play well after a good Game 3, while Jimmy Butler is more than ever the leader after the Draymond Green fiasco. The coach wants Butler to be on the floor a lot, but be careful not to risk injury with him either.
