The architect of Luka Doncic’s trade this season, Nico Harrison no longer inspires any confidence among Dallas fans. They even believe he’s capable of accepting a completely insane trade, proposed by an internet user…
The Mavericks may seem like they have some foundations in place for the coming years. Between the Kyrie Irving-Anthony Davis duo (if both stay, of course) and the first pick in the next draft obtained in the lottery, there’s plenty to work with… but since the surprise trade of Luka Doncic to the Lakers, it’s hard to say that fans of the franchise are particularly optimistic about its future.
After years of building around the Slovenian superstar, Dallas must completely rethink its foundations, and the coming months will be marked by uncertainty. Especially if Nico Harrison is up to no good again… Public enemy number one with the local fanbase, the latter no longer has any credibility with them. Mocked for his choice in the Doncic case, the X user @mavs-nificent offered him a fantastic deal:

- The Mavericks receive : Bronny James
- The Lakers receive : Anthony Davis, PJ Washington, Max Christie, Spencer Dinwiddie and three protected first-round picks
Impossible? Obviously, if only from a financial point of view since Bronny James is a rookie.
On the other hand, the last few months have proven that Harrison has no problem making strong choices regarding the Dallas roster. As a result, fans of the franchise are convinced that he would be able to validate such a trade, even though the GM regularly claims to want to win the title in the short term. The reactions in the comments clearly show how nonexistent their confidence in him has become since February:

We’ve rarely seen a franchise whose leaders were so disowned by their fans… The coming summer promises to be very long for Harrison, especially if he has the audacity to trade the first draft pick that should get them Cooper Flagg.
