In his first season in the NBA, Zaccharie Risacher played against many superstars, including Stephen Curry. Back in France for a few weeks now, he revealed his thoughts on the Warriors’ leader.

Arriving in an established franchise, Zaccharie Risacher didn’t play the typical role of a #1 draft pick this season in Atlanta. Because Trae Young needs to carry the ball to make an impact, and because Jalen Johnson has established himself as one of the best young players in the Eastern Conference, the Frenchman had to settle for a more discreet role with the Hawks.

Rather skilful, despite obvious difficulties in the early weeks, Risacher has finally established himself as a triggerman capable of punishing at the end of the line, but also as a slasher who distinguishes himself with judicious moves. And on the other side of the field, he supported the excellent Dyson Daniels in defensive duties.

Zaccharie Risacher talks about Stephen Curry

Like Bilal Coulibaly at the Wizards, the former JL Bourg player had the chance to rub shoulders with some of the best forwards on the planet, gaining experience and making progress. Speaking to RMC on Monday ahead of his return across the Atlantic, Zaccharie Risacher talked about the player he found most impressive. Unsurprisingly, it’s a legend:

The players who have impressed me the most are Kevin Durant and Stephen Curry. He’s easy in everything he does, he’s the best shooter of all time and you can see it, you can feel it. And when you try to defend him, he never stops moving. He’s not just a shooter where you have to stretch out your arm to contest. He moves without the ball, he has an exceptional IQ.

Zaccharie Risacher only crossed paths with the Warriors twice in his first NBA season, enough to realize that Stephen Curry is still a monster. The Frenchman was surprised by the Chief’s cardio and intelligent movement. With his outside skill, he should take inspiration from the point guard to perfect his moves and become a threat in every situation.
