The Eastern Conference Finals got off to a roaring start, with a completely crazy finale between New York and Indiana. Legend Manu Ginobili was shocked by the way the game unfolded and made no bones about it.
The Pacers are definitely not afraid of anything, especially not being behind in the final moments of a game. With 50 seconds left in regulation, Tyrese Haliburton and his teammates were down by 7 points… but still managed to force overtime and win Game 1 against the Knicks, thanks in large part to this buzzer-beating shot from the point guard to tie the game:

Manu Ginobili fascinated by Knicks-Pacers and the entire 2025 playoffs
Having already eliminated Giannis Antetokounmpo’s Bucks, then the Cavaliers, who held the best record in the East during the regular season, Indiana has now regained home-court advantage against the Big Apple franchise. All this while making yet another crazy comeback during these 2025 playoffs. Unsurprisingly, everyone was glued to the spot by this match, starting with the great Manu Ginobili:

While many former players in the league spend their time criticizing the current NBA and its evolution, “El Manu” gets a kick out of following it.
In any case, we couldn’t have dreamed of a better start to this series between the two franchises, whose heated rivalry dates back to the 90s and the duels between Patrick Ewing’s Knicks and Reggie Miller’s Pacers. Haliburton even allowed himself a tribute to his elder after tying up the score at the buzzer, imitating his famous “choke sign”:
