Given his extraterrestrial physique, Victor Wembanyama regularly sends social media into a frenzy with his athletic exploits. A video of the Frenchman from the regular season resurfaced and terrified fans.
Although he’s been sidelined since mid-February, Victor Wembanyama hasn’t been sitting idly by. Diagnosed with deep vein thrombosis after the All-Star Game, the Spurs center is currently touring Asia. After discovering Japan, he’s now staying in China, where he’s become closer to Buddhist traditions. While he’s not playing, he’s enjoying new experiences.
Unsurprisingly, many are hoping to see him back in action as soon as possible in San Antonio, but also in the NBA in general. Because it’s a fact: the league is more exciting when the former first-round draft pick is in action on the court. If only because, at 7’11” and with a 7’4″ wingspan, the big man manages to torment his opponents without displaying incredible physical dominance.
Victor Wembanyama’s monumental dunk
That said, and despite being quite frail for a center, Wemby is capable of some serious athletic feats. He’s been seen several times blocking shots without taking his feet off the ground or even catching the ball at incredible heights. And apparently, he’s also capable of dunking from very (very) far away, as these images demonstrate:

Wemby casually dunking from the free throw line. He shouldn’t be moving that fast
While Harrison Barnes was the one being interviewed, it was his French teammate who stole the show here by going up to the circle after jumping from the free-throw line. Remember that he’s 7’11 tall, a height far too disproportionate for a player to be able to pull off such a feat… Further proof that the Alien is unique, and unsurprisingly, fans are once again stunned.
@BenJammm1n: that looked like behind the free throw line
@RicaymPanda: Now he a shaolin maybe gonna try it from half court next season
@kawhi_prop: imagine seeing that running at you wtf
