After two years in the NBA, Victor Wembanyama has established himself as a true superstar in San Antonio. Local fans see him reaching a stratosphere reserved for the greatest athletes on the planet in the coming years.
The summer of 2025 could be decisive for the Spurs. After already making some good moves a year ago with the arrivals of Rookie of the Year Stephon Castle and Chris Paul, they must convert the attempt and take a new step. Dylan Harper is expected to arrive with the second pick in the draft in a few days, while the franchise remains on the lookout for Kevin Durant and Giannis Antetokounmpo.

Terrifying on defense where he has established himself as the most dangerous totem in the NBA, endowed with insane potential on offense with his three-point shot and mobility, the French pivot embodies the future of San Antonio since his arrival in 2023. Far from cracking in the face of pressure or expectations, the former Boulogne-Levallois player is already an All-Star at only 21 years old as well as one of the best basketball players on the planet.

In short, we’re talking about a superstar whose every move is under scrutiny. Currently on a trip to China, Wemby regularly creates a buzz there, having been introduced to kung fu and Buddhist traditions. He’s also been spotted playing football with young fans, prompting Spurs fans to predict a particularly bright future for him away from the pitch:
