The NBA playoffs are a major sporting event in the world, and you only have to look at the number of celebrities lining the courts to understand why. This Tuesday, for example, French soccer team midfielder Aurélien Tchouaméni was in Indianapolis to support the Pacers!
The general public may not be aware of it, but soccer players have great admiration for the NBA and its superstars. Pep Guardiola, who revolutionized the world of football with FC Barcelona and then Manchester City, explained, for example, that he drew his mental inspiration from Michael Jordan. When he was still a player, he never missed one of his idol’s matches during the Finals, even if it meant pulling all-nighters.
Perhaps this interest stems from the fact that after big matches, which generally finish around 11 p.m., footballers can’t sleep a wink because of the adrenalin. What could be better than a good NBA game to entertain you while you wait for sleep? And what’s more, with so much watching from behind the screen, some decide to head to the States at the slightest opportunity to see these games in the front row.
Aurelien Tchouaméni surprised in Indianapolis for the playoffs
Thierry Henry, a great friend of Tony Parker, was in San Antonio to follow some of the Spurs’ titles. Aurelien Tchouaméni didn’t wait to have a friend on the floor before making the trip, as he was in Indiana this Tuesday to watch the conference final between the Pacers and Knicks. And he sent a message to the locals.

Good evening everyone, it’s Aurélien Tchouaméni, I’m happy to be here. Go Pacers!
Aurélien Tchouaméni could have waited two more days and treated himself to a match at Madison Square Garden, the legendary New York venue. But no, the Real midfielder decided to travel to Indiana to support the Pacers, who seem to be his team of choice. On social networks, Internet users found it hard to hide their surprise and incomprehension.
