There was a time when Miles Bridges was a popular NBA player, a welcome addition alongside LaMelo Ball. But since his domestic violence affair, his image hasn’t been the same. In fact, he’s just issued a heartfelt cry on the subject.

The NBA is a business, the franchises’ aim is to find talented players, and when they really are, they can get away with almost anything. Jontay Porter, involved in a terrible sports betting scandal, for example, received a lifetime suspension from the league, which wouldn’t necessarily have been the case if he’d had the level to be an All-Star.

Miles Bridges is fortunate to have this higher level. When he was sentenced to three years’ probation in a domestic violence case, many fans asked the franchises never to give him another dollar, to send a strong message in the fight against violence against women. A request that was never met, as the Hornets offered him $75 million over three years.

Miles Bridges talks about his ex and his children

While he can practice his craft, Miles Bridges doesn’t necessarily have the support of the general public anymore. He’s well aware of this, as evidenced by his latest posts on Instagram. His ex-girlfriend refuses to let him visit her children, and that’s something he can’t take anymore. In an attempt that caused a stir on the networks, he asked for help.

Enough is enough. I’ve been denied the right to see my children since April 18. For no reason, just because I’ve moved on. In your eyes, I’ll always be the bad guy in the story. I sincerely ask you what I should do. I don’t want to be accused of anything anymore. I want to be a father to my children, but their mother won’t let me. I need help, that’s all I ask. The youngest’s birthday is May 24, and she won’t let me see him.

Miles Bridges would like to have a better co-parenting relationship with his ex, but she clearly refuses to let the Hornets player see his children. So he put out a cry from the heart in the hope of finding a quick solution, and without going to court. While he received some support, many Internet users reminded him of a simple fact:

@_SCOTTishcheese : Did he try beating her ass infront of the kids?

@ThonMadeMe : Shouldn’t be a domestic abuser? LMAO consequences of ur actions

@Carmelofan247 : Maybe don’t be abusive
