It’s still unclear whether Giannis Antetokounmpo will ask to leave the Bucks, but many fans are already dreaming of a move to San Antonio alongside Victor Wembanyama. A trade has even been suggested.
While a meeting is supposed to have taken place this week according to Chris Haynes, no news regarding Giannis Antetokounmpo’s future. He could decide to extend his adventure with the Bucks despite the setbacks, or join a new franchise to accomplish his biggest goal to date: winning a second championship.
And as much as he enjoys Wisconsin, the Greek Freak has made it clear that winning the title for the second time in his career is a priority for him. So if he has to leave to get there, there’s no doubt that No. 34 will give it a shot. However, there is also a possibility that Milwaukee may be able to convince him to stay longer.

As for his next destination, it’s hard to say for sure. The Rockets have been mentioned, as have the Heat and Spurs. The Texans have often been mentioned in recent weeks, even concerning Kevin Durant and other stars. They want to take a step forward in the West, and according to some insiders, a big trade isn’t out of the question. On Twitter, there’s still evidence of a trade being suggested to see Giannis land in San Antonio alongside Victor Wembanyama.

Many, many assets for just one player, but can it be otherwise? Giannis is in his prime and continues to compete for the MVP every year. Obviously, the Bucks will be asking a lot to let go of the Greek Freak. Nevertheless, is it really a good idea for the Texans? Fans think not.
This second draft pick could become Dylan Harper, an NBA star in the years to come, while the Hawks’ pick in 2027 is very interesting if the franchise falls further in the East. It’s highly doubtful that the Spurs would accept such a choice.
