With a bit of luck, Michael Beasley could have become one of the best players of his generation. Unfortunately for him, that’s not the case, and it’s from the outside that he comments on the debates between LeBron James and Michael Jordan.
For those who haven’t been following American basketball long enough, the name Michael Beasley probably doesn’t conjure up much, apart from a few interesting seasons with the Timberwolves or the Heat. But for the old-timers, Beasley will forever remain one of the best players in NCAA history. As a Kansas State player, he was unstoppable.

Michael Beasley sees LeBron as the GOAT
Averaging 26 points and 12 rebounds in college, many saw Michael Beasley as a future superstar. Unfortunately, he failed to live up to expectations, unlike LeBron James. The King was indeed heralded as Michael Jordan’s successor, and he still lives up to the comparisons today. In a recent interview with Moshe Popack, Beasley reflected on LeBron’s career:
LeBron James is the best player in history. 100 %. My argument is based on facts. There are career points, longevity, all those things. But with Michael Jordan, people never talk about his failures. The playoff eliminations, the fact that he’s chasing Dennis Rodman to come to the Bulls. People never talk about the fact that he had to learn for years how to become a champion. With LeBron, we are witnesses to his rise.
We’ve seen the good times and the bad, the highs and the lows. He’s been so strong for so many years that we no longer have any criticism of him. People are starting to talk about his son’s level now. That’s why I put LeBron above him. And statistically speaking, if you look for the best passers, rebounders, scorers, without knowing the players’ names, LeBron will never be outside the top 10, no matter the category.
For Michael Beasley, the fact that the media dwell so much on LeBron James’ failures and mistakes, and the fact that Bronny’s level is used as an argument against him, are proof that he is above Michael Jordan. And that’s without mentioning the purely statistical aspect, where the King is ahead in every major category. His opinion makes sense, there’s no denying it.
